HCC Accuplacer Advanced Math Exam = 285-300
Complete College-Level Pre-Calculus Math (MATH 2412) or higher
AP Calculus AB Score = 4 or higher
AP Calculus BC Score = 3 or higher

3. If you are not Calculus 1 ready:

• Complete college-level Pre-Calculus in the summer of 2023 – which will allow you to continue in the Fall ‘23 semester with the regular UH/HCC Engineering Academy students.

• Complete the Pre-Calculus class during the Fall semester along with other courses outlined by your Academy Advisor and begin the Engineering Academy courses in the spring. Note: this will delay the progression of your engineering degree. We advise students to be Calculus I ready for Fall 2023 if at all possible.

4. Academy Requirements:

Students must be enrolled full-time (12 total credit hours)

Students are required to take all engineering, math & science courses as part of a cohort to enhance academic success
